Brokenness

The Lord has been revealing this word "brokenness" to me. There are places of brokenness that believers will walk through no matter where they are with the Lord.
I believe that brokenness is one of the main reasons why there is a separation between God and man. I am not saying that this is the only reason why there is a separation. Let me elaborate. When a place of brokenness comes into your life, there are two places that you could run to. One, run to God and community as fast as you can and get the brokenness out in the open. Two, run to your "secret" and "safe" place. I believe that this "secret" and "safe" place of peoples lives is a lie that they are believing. People, I even did this myself, create a false area of security which then creates a false healing, or a cover up. I believe that the real secret and safe place that one can run to in order to confront and heal the brokenness is in the face of God. This is why brokenness is an invitation to allow the Lord's will to be done. Brokenness is actually a gateway into the presence of God. In that place of brokenness, there is repentance, grace, love, deliverance and revival.
As Watchman Nee puts it, "Brokenness is the way of blessing, the way of fragrance, the way of fruitfulness. But, it is also a path sprinkled with 'blood from our wounds.'"
The place of brokenness is not an easy road filled with beautiful flowers and pleasing aromas where nothing hurts. It is actually a road with rose bushes that look beautiful but actually prick you and hurt you. This doesn't mean the journey is over this just means the journey is just beginning. Oh, how we should invite the cup of suffering and drink deep of the invitation the Lord has for us. Through the allowance of the Lord to work in our lives we invite revival into our hearts. Vulnerability plays a key role to brokenness. It actually opens you up in order for the brokenness to be revealed. At this point I would love to make a statement, I am not saying to beat our selves into a place of brokenness or force ourselves to be broken, but allow the Lord to reveal places of brokenness in our lives and when they come we react by running to Him.
God wants your brokenness. He doesn't just want it because it's fun and wants to see you suffer. He wants it because He is a God of freedom and loves to deliver His children from the throngs of the enemy. He wants to liberate us as sons and daughters and longs to see us fully awakened to who He is as our INFINITE GOD!! Let us as followers of Christ dig into the place of brokenness when needed. Let us run hard and fast to Jesus and say to the brokenness, "Bring it on!!!" For the moment we start to embrace this brokenness, the healing of the Lord immediately flows.

Blessings and Love,
